Pakistan lose To India In 2011 ICC World Cup

So I was watching the cricket world cup on television at work while working on the hr payroll software and watched as Pakistan lost to India. I was almost heartbroken because my team lost. In case you didn’t know (and I am sure you all did) the 2011 ICC Cricket World Cup took place from February to April in India, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh. Fourteen national teams qualified for the World Cup. Pakistan, who lost game hosting rights in the wake of terrorist incidents, did well in the tournament. The Pakistan team reached the second semifinals, where it squared up against its archrival, the very strong Indian team.
The India-Pakistan match was played at the Punjab Cricket Association Stadium in Mohali, India on March 30. This match was shrouded in great historical significance, and likened to war between the rival nations. Cricket is a much-watched sport in both countries, and one that plays a role in diplomacy and politics between them. Life stood at a standstill in both countries on match day, with many provincial governments declaring March 30 an official holiday.
In the match, the Indian team won the toss and batted first, eventually scoring 260 runs, 85 of which were scored by “Man of the Match"Sachin Tendulkar. The Pakistan team, which started very strong, played inconsistently, and ended the match with only 231 runs. Pakistan lost by 29 runs, sending India to the finals, where the Indian team beat the Sri Lankan team to win the 2011 ICC World Cup on April 2.
